Save your old toothbrushes to clean those hard to reach places.<br />

Soak your electric toothbrush heads in denture cleaning solution. It's amazing to see what hard deposits get trapped inside the brushes and get loosened due to the effervescent action of the cleaner. (Carly)<br />

Once or twice a week, I soak everyone's toothbrush head in Listerine mouthwash. This is a great germ killer, and safe for the toothbrushes and their users. (Claudia Boothe)<br />

Purchase a new toothbrush for your child if they are sick with strep throat or tonsilitis.  According to my pediatrician, if they use the same brush after the antibiotics, they can get the infection again.  Better safe than sorry! (Bren C.)<br />

A use for an old toothbrush is to use it for a brow and eyelash brush.  Make sure it's clean and it does work well on clumps. (Lisa Willis) <br />

Clean your toothbrushes in the dishwasher along with the rest of your dishes once a month. The hot water will sterilize them.  (Terry) &amp; (Debra)<br />

You can microwave your toothbrush to rid it of bacteria. Just set microwave at 1 minute and 30 seconds depending on the type microwave you have.  I do this once a week. (Lolita) <br />

Be sure to save your old toothbrushes for cleaning those hard to reach places( they make great little scrubbers). Please don't reuse in your mouth.  <br />
