To remove the smoke smell out of clothes, add a cup of vinegar to a bath tub of hot water and hang the clothes above the steam. (Judy)

You may be able to remove smoke smell from clothes by soaking the clothing in vinegar and water overnight in the washer. Run the rinse cycle the next day and then through a normal wash cycle. (W)
